EDITORIAL VERDICT

You have an announcement about Tuesday opening hours. The draft is applying for a larger job. Give the reader the hours, the booking requirement and the trial period before explaining what the change represents.

KEEP

The underlying change is useful: some people cannot arrive before the current closing time. That is a concrete reason to communicate. The four-week review also belongs in the announcement because it tells readers this arrangement may change. Do not cut that qualification merely because permanence sounds more confident.

FIX IN THIS ORDER

  1. Put the operational fact first. “A transformational community access journey” does not tell anyone whether to leave work early. Write the actual closing time and day. Confirm the start date before publication; it is missing from the supplied facts.
  1. Move booking beside the hours. If someone reads the first sentence and arrives without a booking, the announcement has created work for the front desk. Requirements are not footnotes simply because they are less inspiring than the mission.
  1. Replace the claim of transformed access with the reason for the trial. You are trying a later session. You have not supplied evidence that the trial has already changed participation. Confidence is not a substitute for a before-and-after record.
  1. Keep one explanation, not three. A short line about people arriving after work is enough. The organization’s generosity does not need its own paragraph. Readers can recognize a useful opening time without being told how grateful to feel.

CLEAN ANNOUNCEMENT

The workshop will stay open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays during a four-week trial. Booking is required. The trial is intended to offer a later option for people who cannot attend earlier in the day. We will review the arrangement after four weeks before confirming future hours. The start date and booking instructions will be added when confirmed.

RELEASE GATE

That last sentence is an internal holding line, not permission to publish without the missing details. Confirm the start date, the booking route and which activities are available, then replace it with those facts. Do not invent a link or imply every daytime service will be staffed. The clean version is intentionally unglamorous. Nobody has ever missed a closing time because the announcement was insufficiently visionary.
